Version : 7.5
Brief Description
CIMPLICITY 7.5 SIM 10
NOTE: This SIM is cumulative with CIMPLICITY 7.5 SIM 9 and below.
New Features
Device Communications - #173564 - 1-615740472
When dynamic configuration is used to change a base scan rate during runtime, processing the change can be slow, particularly if there are a lot of down devices in the project across all ports.
Note: Dynamic configuration enables a user to change a port's base scan rate during runtime. The change is made on the General tab in the port's Properties dialog box. The revised base rate is then applied to every point whose device is connected to the port.
Each point's scan rate is set on the Device tab in its Point Properties dialog box.
The following global parameters allow a user to temporarily override the base scan rates using set point operations.
The override has effect only while the following is true.
The global parameters <PORT>_USE_OVRD_SCAN and <PORT>_OVRD_SCAN (and their associated virtual points) are configured to override the base scan rates.
The virtual point values represent a valid scan rate and indicate that the override is in effect.
Global Parameter: <PORT>_USE_OVRD_SCAN
Type: Project Global Parameter
Purpose
Enables the override of the scan rate for a selected port.
Value - Point ID (Of a configured Boolean virtual point)
When set to 1 enables the base scan rate override.
Note: The point ID can be set to 1 during runtime.
Default - No point ID is identified.
Global Parameter: <PORT>_OVRD_SCAN
Type: Project Global Parameter
Purpose
Defines the scan rate scale and unit for a selected port.
Value - Point ID (Of a configured INT array point that has 2 elements)
Elements are:
Element 1: Scale
Value - Between 1 and 1000 inclusively.
Element 2: Units
Value - Between 1 and 4
Values:
1 - Ticks (1/100 second)
2 - Seconds
3 - Minutes
4 - Hours
Note: The scale and units can be changed during runtime.
Default - No point ID is identified.
Alarm Viewer - #173501 - 1-684342540
During runtime, when users were able to open the CIMPLICITY AMV Control Properties dialog box, all of the selections they should have had access to were not enabled.
Note: Users can open the CIMPLICITY AMV Control Properties dialog box during runtime when Allow runtime popup menu is checked on the dialog box's Display tab.
When the CIMPLICITY AMV Control Properties dialog box can be opened during runtime, its selectable features are enabled.
Third Party Control - #172965 - 1-546657158
When the mouse was moved while typing text in a Microsoft Rich Text Box Control on a CimView screen, the control would lose focus.
Microsoft Rich Text boxes on a CimView screen remain in focus when the mouse is moved while text is being typed in the box.
Historian Integration - #173470: - 1-638708040
When Historian A&E logging was used, the Historian "ItemID" column failed to be populated if the CIMPLICITY version being used was CIMPLICITY v 7.5 SIM 7 through CIMPLICITY v7.5 SIM 9.
The Historian "ItemID" column now populates the way it did before CIMPLICITY v7.5 SIM 7.
Note: The project may have to stop and start one or more times in order to populate the column.
OPC Client - #168628 - 1-441636967
Under rare conditions when delay load points were used and the same point(s) were frequently added and deleted, the OPC Client would gradually consume more and more CPU. After a long period of time, the process, at times, terminated.
An issue where two OPC Client threads were referencing/modifying the same data structure was eliminated. Therefore, now when the same condition occurs, the OPC Client will not show sustained increasing CPU growth with eventual process termination.
Dynamic Graphical Replay - #172891 - 1-676565320
If the Historical Replay radio button was clicked twice, the DGR would become unresponsive and would ultimately fail.
The DGR now continues to run even if the Historical Replay radio button is clicked twice.
Broadcast - #172777 - 1-635954702
There was a memory leak when WYSIWYG forms were being broadcast that had Broadcast Device Groups configured with UNC printers.
WYSIWYG forms can now be broadcast having Broadcast Device Groups configured with UNC printers without causing a memory leak.
Measurement Units - #173121 - 1-671242171
When a project used an incorrect measurement unit, the project would not be able to start.
If there is an incorrect measurement unit:
The project will now start.
An error message reporting the incorrect measurement unit is logged in the Status log.
PPS Alarm Manager - #173568 - 1-617119750
Under certain circumstances Proficy Process Systems Alarm Manager reported an "Internal Error" in the system log and failed to start after a PPS project was started.
The Alarm Manager now runs correctly when a PPS project is running.
PPS Alarm Timestamps - #173569 - 1-617119827
PPS Alarm Manager reported invalid timestamps and/or states in the status log, but there was no information identifying which alarm block had bad data.
The error messages now also contain the alarm ID.
Reference Expression Line - #173467 - 1-689122711
If a Reference line whose source was an expression was added to a Trend chart during runtime and then scrolled back beyond the project's start time, the line drawn was not complete from the left edge to right edge of the chart.
A Reference line whose source is an expression, now correctly extends from the left to right edge of the Trend chart even if it is scrolled back beyond the project's start time.
Historian Line - #172692 - 1-638198831, 1-675515687
When a compression setting of 6-10 was used on a Historian line, the trend chart would become blank.
A Historian line can now have a compression setting of 6-10 without affecting the trend chart display.
WebView Connection - #172660 - 1-572683504, 1-660933127
The WebView system would send a "Connection to Server lost" message and crash after the first (Main Menu) screen, when an Overlay Screen action was triggered.
The WebView system now stays connected when an Overlay Screen action is triggered.
