Brief Description
CIMPLICITY v7.5 SIM 7
NOTE: This SIM is cumulative with CIMPLICITY 7.5 SIM 6.
A&E OPC Server #172404 - Case 1-568352734
When a CIMPLICITY project had a large database the following issues occurred.
The Alarm & Event server would consume the CPU and, as a result, take an unacceptable amount of time to connect to Historian.
Some alarms were lost instead of getting logged while the A&E server was attempting to connect to Historian.
A global parameter, AE_STARTUP_CFG, has been created to allow users to select when the A&E Server will read the project configuration and populate the server configuration database.
Values are as follows.
The A&E OPC Server populates the server configuration database:
Value: Y
At startup time.
This might take some time (a few minutes) for very large projects to connect to Historian.
Value: N
When alarms are generated.
This option will provide instant project connection..
Important: In this case server becomes fully configured only after every alarm has been generated at least once
Default Value: N
Points #172151 - Case 1-597689227
The first (initial) sample that was taken from CIMPLICITY and written to the Collector was sampled at the RAW value and not the converted value. As a result, this initial value could not be used as a control point.
The first (initial) sample is now written to the Collector in the converted value.
Redundancy #172152 - Case 1-628237109
At times, when device points with engineering conversion were logged to Historian through the Historian OPC collector, they were logged as 0 with good quality even though the point did not have the value 0.
In addition, the initial value was sometimes logged without the conversion applied.
Device points with engineering conversion are now correctly logged to Historian during startup and during operation.
PTX_RP #172137 - Case 1-562771871
The Point Translation Resident Process (PTX_RP) terminated unexpectedly when accessing Quick Trends.
PTX_RP no longer terminates when the Quick Trend is used.
Windows Authentication #172156 - Case 1-611939744
CIMPLICITY did not permit a login for users who were both:
Defined in a single Windows group on the Domain Server
Not administrators.
CIMPLICITY now recognizes log ins for users who are both:
- Defined in a single Windows group on the Domain Server
- Not administrators.
Domain Logon #172155 - Case 1-611939667
When a user was assigned a different User Logon name and (pre-Windows 2000) User Logon name on the Domain Controller, CIMPLICITY would not allow the user logon.
Now, if the user is assigned a different User Logon name and (pre-Windows 2000) User Logon name CIMPLICITY allows the user to logon using the (pre-Windows 2000) User Logon name.
Quick Trends #172137 - Case 1-637520907
A project would crash on the Server after operating Quick Trends for five minutes.
The project no longer crashes when a Quick Trend is used.
